The 2020–21 Bucknell Bison women’s basketball team will be one of the top contenders for the Patriot League championship. Led by head coach Aaron Roussell, the Bison will have a deep and talented roster that will compete for a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

The Bison will be led by senior guard Kaitlyn Slagus, who was named the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2019. Slagus is a three-time All-Patriot League selection and is one of the most accomplished players in Bucknell history. She is joined by fellow seniors Lindsey Ziegenfuss and Mackenzie Butterfield, who will provide leadership and experience to the team.

The Bison will also have a talented group of freshmen, including guard Kyra Altemose and forwards Jackie Kates and Shannon Smith. Altemose was a two-time All-State selection in Pennsylvania, while Kates and Smith were both All-Conference selections in Ohio.

The Bison will compete in a tough Patriot League, which includes defending champion Loyola Maryland and perennial power Navy. But with a deep and talented roster, the Bison will be one of the top contenders for the league championship.

The Bison will also be a factor in the NCAA Tournament, where they have made five appearances in the last six years. With a talented roster and a proven head coach, the Bison will be a team to watch in 2020–21.
