The 2021 Springfield, Missouri mayoral election is a very important election because the mayor of Springfield has a lot of power. The mayor is the head of the city government and is responsible for appointing people to city positions and boards. The mayor also has the power to veto city ordinances.

The current mayor of Springfield, Bob Stephens, is not running for re-election. There are six candidates running for mayor:

Mike Houston is a very qualified candidate for mayor. He is a veteran of the United States Army and has a degree in business administration from the University of Missouri. Justin Burnett is also a qualified candidate. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and has a law degree from the University of Missouri.

Frank Scruggs is a very experienced candidate. He has been a member of the Springfield City Council for 16 years. He also owns a small business. Jason Griesheimer is a very qualified candidate. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and has a law degree from the University of Missouri.

Tom Prater is a very qualified candidate. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and has a law degree from the University of Missouri. Mike Schilling is a very qualified candidate. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and has a law degree from the University of Missouri.

The election will be held on April 4, 2021.
